  1. This directory includes some tools that are helpful or required when using
  2. KBackup. For their copyrights and conditions of use, see their respective
  3. Linux Software Map entries, the *.lsm files.

  5.     afio, Version 2.4.2:
  6.  
  7.     Afio is the preferred handler for backups. If you don't have it
  8.     installed yet, you should do so. It is definitely MUCH better than
  9.     tar, although somehow less tested.
  10.  
  11.     If you are still using version 2.4.1 or older, upgrade to this. It
  12.     offers you support for encryption.

  15.     dialog, Version 0.4:

  17.     Dialog is the interface program used by KBackup. Without it you can
  18.     only run KBackup in ttymode.

  20.     A newer version, still in beta, might be available from:

  23.     pgp:

  25.     Pgp is a public key encryption program. For legal reasons, I cannot
  26.     distribute it with KBackup. You have to get it from somewhere else.
  27.     For information, I include its manual page pgp.1 here. Using pgp 
  28.     might be illegal in some countries.
